When you contact us, book a session, or purchase products, we collect:

• Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
• Details you share about your session, including due dates, family members, and event dates
• Shipping addresses for delivered products
• Correspondence between us

Payment card details are processed by our payment provider, [Stripe / Square / HoneyBook]. We never see or store full card numbers.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the site we collect standard technical information: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, time on site, and the site that referred you.

Cookies and tracking. This site uses:

• Essential cookies required for the site to function. These are always active.
• Google Analytics to understand how the site is used
• Meta Pixel (Facebook), which records your visit and may match it to a Facebook or Instagram account, allowing us to show you advertising later

Your consent. When you first visit, you will be asked whether to accept non-essential cookies. Analytics and advertising cookies, including the Meta Pixel, are not set until you accept them. If you decline, the site works normally and you will not be tracked for advertising.

Photographs

Photographs taken during a session are personal information about you and your family, and we treat them accordingly.

How we use your photographs:

• To deliver the products and services you have purchased
• To maintain the long-term archive described in our Terms and Conditions
• For portfolio, website, social media, print marketing, and educational use, subject to your instructions

Your right to say no. If you do not want your images used for marketing, tell us before or after your session and we will note it on your file and remove any published images. There is no charge and it does not affect your session.

Children. We ask for specific permission before publishing any image in which a child is identifiable. Permission can be withdrawn at any time.

We do not sell photographs to stock libraries, license them to third parties, or provide them to advertisers.

Facial Recognition and Biometric Data

We do not collect, capture, or store biometric identifiers or biometric information as defined by the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act.

Our editing and gallery software is not used to perform facial recognition, facial geometry scanning, or automatic identification of individuals. Where software offers such features, they are disabled.

We do not use facial recognition to identify individuals in photographs, and we do not create, store, or share biometric identifiers or biometric templates. Our editing software may detect the presence of a face in order to apply an edit, but this does not identify anyone and no facial data is retained.

How We Use Your Information

• To respond to inquiries and schedule sessions
• To fulfil contracts, process payments, and deliver products
• To communicate about your session and order
• To send occasional emails about availability, seasonal sessions, and offers, if you have opted in
• To maintain business and tax records
• To improve the website and our marketing

Legal Basis

Where required by law, we process your information on the basis of contract performance, legitimate business interests, legal obligation, or your consent, depending on the purpose.

Sharing

We share information only as needed to run the business:

• Contracts, invoices, and financial records: seven years, for tax purposes

Your Rights

You may ask us to:

• Provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correct anything inaccurate
• Delete your information, subject to records we are legally required to keep
• Stop using your photographs for marketing
• Stop sending you marketing email

We extend these rights to every client and website visitor regardless of residence, rather than only where the law requires it.

Email photos@coralblustudios.com and we will respond within thirty days. We will not charge you for any of this and it will never affect your session or your order.

Illinois residents have rights under the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act, including notification in the event of a data breach affecting personal information.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage, password protection, and secure payment processing.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by Illinois law.

Children’s Privacy

This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen. Information about children is collected from their parents in the course of booking a session.

Third-Party Links

Our site may link to other websites, including social media platforms and payment providers. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
